Facts about the the KMT
The KMT 690 is a purebred rally bike.
It was designed to compete in some of the longest, toughest races in the world.The most famous is the Dakar Rally, a gruelling all-terrain race which can be over 8,000 km (5,000 miles) long.No problem for the KTM, though-it won the event three years in a row.
Suspension helps to smooth at bumps. The KTM hits some big bumps, so the suspension can move up and down by 300 mm (12 inches).
The KMT rally has six gears.
The strong chassis stays rigid. This makes the KTM 690 easier to drive at high speed on rough surfaces.
